Choice of study and career guidance for teenagers, young adults, and adults at the beginning of their professional careers.

From personal experience, I know how difficult it is to choose the right study straight away. I always knew I wanted to help people. A degree in Social Work seemed ideal at the time. Until I started attending classes and realised that law, economics, and drama were not right for me at all. So I decided to become a Physical Education teacher instead: I enjoy working with young people, I love sports, and it seemed like the perfect combination. Yet here too, something didn’t feel right.

Meanwhile, I saw my friends progressing in their studies, while my own self-confidence declined. I took on all kinds of jobs (I truly did everything), knowing I was capable of much more than what those roles allowed me to express, but also realising that without a degree, it would be very difficult to find work in which I could genuinely thrive.

Eventually, I decided to study Psychology as a working student, while working in bars and restaurants to pay for my studies and accommodation.

I have been a Coretalents analyst since 2012. I have conducted more than 300 Coretalents analyses and guidance trajectories, and I know what it feels like to be in the wrong place.
